Don turns up focused and energised for his session with Lilia, and is ready to get everything right for Saturday night. His drilling technique of going over and over the routine seems to be paying off, which allows Lilia to tweak the performance side of the dance. Don has also developed a little habit of growling when he completes the routine in full, describing his reaction as 'primitive', much to Lilia's amusement. He insists he doesn't know where it's coming from, adding in his typically droll way, "I don't growl usually..."
Meanwhile, Mark's actually being encouraged to growl by partner Hayley, as they go through their Tango. She's trying to find Mark's inner aggression, telling the swimmer to dance with passion and to throw her around! She also suggests he keeps his newly-grown beard, as it makes him look harder and will help with his transformation into a fiery 'Tango man'. Mark notes how different swimming and dancing are, commenting that swimming requires no personality but dancing "is about the journey, the performance and expression." He resolves to wear a suit to tomorrow's session, in order to get into character.
Andrew and Ola are also practising their Tango and exploring their fiery sides. As Ola encourages Andrew to 'get angry', the GMTV presenter calls her his 'little Tyrannosaurus Rex' and comments that she's both fantastic and horrible to him at the same time. They make positive progress in the afternoon though, with Ola offering praise when Andrew makes the right moves, and they manage to dance through the full routine in one go. Andrew has turned a corner and feeling more confident.
