Find out what's happening in Strictly Come Dancing 2009
News
We saw a number of record-breaking performances in last weekend's quarter-final, including Rachel achieving Strictly's highest-ever Tango score of 39. Will we see any more barriers broken in the semi final? And which particular judges will our remaining couples need to impress? Read on for more Strictly stats...
Rachel & Vincent
Average score this series - 34.9
Rachel is performing the Argentine Tango (as are all our remaining couples) and the American Smooth this weekend. Rachel currently holds the highest American Smooth score of the series (35 points) with Lisa and Tom. Strictly's highest ever score for this dance is 38, scored by Gethin Jones and Camilla in Series 5. Even tougher to beat is the highest score for an Argentine Tango on Strictly, which is a massive 39. This is the first time World Champion Vincent has performed an Argentine Tango on Strictly with a celebrity partner - will he help Rachel re-write the record books?
Tom & Camilla
Average score this series - 34.2
Tom broke his own personal record last weekend, when he was awarded 39 for his Foxtrot. But he faces a tough weekend if he wants to break any all-time records. In addition to the Argentine Tango, he's performing the Jive. The current top-score for this dance is a perfect 40, set by Jill Halfpenny and Darren Bennett in Series 2. As for his luck with the judges, Tom seems to have found himself a fan in Bruno - out of his twelve dances Bruno has awarded him at least a 9 for all but two of his routines.
Lisa & Brendan
Average score this series - 33.5
Lisa reached the peaks last weekend - achieving a personal best of 39 with her Waltz, which Len described as 'like the mountain in Wales - beautiful, majestic, breathtaking'. Lisa is attempting the Quickstep as well as the Argentine Tango this week. Her score for the Quickstep in week 10 was 35 - just one point shy of this series' record score held by Tom and Austin. When it comes to the judges, Bruno and Len are in perfect harmony with their scoring of Lisa - both have given her an average score of 8.67.
