In light of the decision to allow all three couples that danced in the Strictly Come Dancing 2008 semi-final broadcast on 13th December 2008 to compete in the final to be held on 20th December 2008, the 91Èȱ¬ recognises that some viewers who voted may be unhappy.
Therefore, the 91Èȱ¬ has decided to offer refunds to any callers, who wish to claim one, who voted for any of the three couples following the show broadcast on 13th December 2008, subject to the following (please note refunds are not available for any votes cast following any other Strictly Come Dancing programmes):
1.- Requests for refunds can be made by:
(i) Calling freephone 0808 202 5388.
The refund line is now open and will close at midnight on Saturday 17th January 2009; PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE FOR CALLS ORIGINATING FROM A BT LANDLINE, HOWEVER UNAVOIDABLY CALLS FROM OTHER OPERATORS MAY VARY AND YOU WILL BE CHARGED IF YOU CALL THIS LINE FROM A MOBILE. THEREFORE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO A BT LANDLINE, PLEASE USE THE FREEPOST ADDRESS BELOW.
or (ii) Write to: freepost: Strictly Come Dancing Refunds, FREEPOST ANG2768, Colchester, CO2 8BR.
Please ensure FREEPOST ANG2768 is written on the same line. Write "FREEPOST" in capitals (for your own privacy, as we will be asking some personal details, please DO NOT send postcards).
2.- All refund requests must contain the following details: (i) telephone number from which the vote was made; (ii) the network for the number from which the vote was made (if known, e.g. BT, Orange); (iii) how many times you voted (iv) name of the person requesting the refund; (v) address to which the refund postal order should be sent; (vi) contact telephone number, if different from the number you used to vote.
3.- Requests for refunds by telephone and post must be made by midnight on Saturday 17th January 2009
4.- Requests for refunds must be made with the permission of the telephone bill-payer for the line from which the vote was made.
5.- Multiple requests for refunds for votes made from the same telephone number will result in one single refund payment (for the number of calls entitled to refund). This will be made to the person who made the first request for a refund received.
6.- The 91Èȱ¬ reserves the right to verify the information provided in the refund request and reject any such request which does not contain all the required information or where the information is not sufficiently clear or legible or where there are reasonable grounds to suspect that a refund request is fraudulent.
7.- The 91Èȱ¬ will endeavour to pay any refunds within 28 days of receipt of the relevant request. Payment will be made by postal order which can be exchanged for cash at any Post Office at no charge to the bearer.
8.- Any person placing a request for refund, in doing so, will consent (and, where necessary, cause the bill-payer's consent to be granted) to the 91Èȱ¬ processing any personal data involved, which might be necessary to process, verify and pay the refund. This consent will include, but not be limited to, the overriding of any withheld caller's line identification for the relevant telephone number used for the vote.
9.- Please note that the 91Èȱ¬ is offering this refund as a gesture of goodwill. Nothing herein is intended or shall be deemed to constitute any admission of liability by the 91Èȱ¬.
10.- Refunds will only be paid on request (as per the instructions above) and only paid to callers that voted following the semi-final show on 13th December 2008 and for any of the three couples that danced in the semi-final.
