Ron lives in Cheadle, in the Staffordshire Moorlands. He's 65-years-old and married, to Jeanette. They have one daughter, Sandra. Ron has a wide range of hobbies: he loves tinkering with cars and plane spotting at Manchester Airport. He's a loyal Stoke City supporter and enjoys tackling DIY projects. Since retirement, Ron and Jeanette have the time to really make every minute of their well deserved holidays.
Audio and Video links on this page require Realplayer I chose my story because I had a chance to let people know why I became so heavily involved in the scanner appeal. I was scared to say, or think, the word cancer, so my fundraising became a fabulous way to battle it. I met some wonderful, generous, people who gave money, but also their valuable time. Thanks to them I have memories of many touching stories.
