Disabled Sports in Crewe

There are lots of opportunities to get involved in disabled sports in Staffordshire, here we tell you about the Cheshire Academy in Crewe who provide a host of disabled sports activities.


The Cheshire Academy in Crewe is one of the leading training venues for special needs athletes.

Activities

Smoe of the activities the Academy does include - Ballet and Dance, various different types of Gymnastics,ÌýSports Acrobatics, Athletics,ÌýBoccia, Football, Table Tennis - and more!

They regularly send a team to national Special Olympic Games!

Which disabilities are catered for?

The Academy works with young people with learning difficulties, autism, cerebral palsy, downs syndrome, williams syndrome, ADHD, spina bifida, epilepsy, muscular dystrophy as well as many more.

They also cater for people with visual or hearing difficulties and for wheelchair users and individuals with more profound disabilities.

How old can you be?

It depends what you want to do - the fully integrated pre-school gymnastics classes take children as young as 18 months, where as other sports may have junior and senior sessions catering for adults too.
