Snowboarding: Zoe Gillings 10th in US World Cup event

Britain's number one snowboarder Zoe Gillings has recorded her second World Cup top-10 finish of the season in the United States.

The 27-year-old from the Isle of Man finished 10th in the Telluride event a week after placing fifth in the opening round in Austria.

She said: "Deep down I wanted to better last week, but I am still delighted."

Canadian Dominique Maltais made it two wins out of two in the boarder-cross final, with Maelle Ricker second.

Maltais leads the overall standings with Gillings in seventh place.

The Manx snowboarder said she was clearly benefitting from her re-instated funding from UK Sport,.

She added: "It is getting better and better every single day. My training is now at a level it has never been before."

The third round will take place in Arosa, Switzerland in March.
