Welsh Open: Mark Selby to face Ding Junhui in final
Mark Selby will face Ding Junhui in the final of the Welsh Open after recording a 6-2 win over Ronnie O'Sullivan.
Three-time world champion O'Sullivan had looked impressive all week but made several errors against Selby, who won four successive frames from 2-2 to seal victory.
Earlier, China's Ding qualified for his first ranking final of the season by beating England's Shaun Murphy 6-2.
Ding dominated the match, making breaks of 91, 71, 86 and 75.
Murphy at least had the consolation of making the highest break of the match, a 126 in the second frame.
Ding, the former UK and Masters champion, edged a nervy opening frame before Murphy's century levelled the match.
Ding then made four breaks over 50 after the interval to move to the brink of victory.
Murphy made the better start in the last frame but was made to pay for missing a simple red as Ding cleared the table at the second attempt to reach the final.
