Mhairi Grieve: Sale Sharks half-back receives three-game ban
Sale Sharks half-back Mhairi Grieve has been banned for three games following a high tackle in the Premiership Women's Rugby loss to Exeter on 11 February.
The 30-year-old admitted to the charge of dangerous tackling at an independent disciplinary panel.
Grieve was deemed not to have sufficiently lowered her tackle height in the challenge, with a 'high' level of danger under tackle guidelines.
There is the option of reducing the ban if Grieve attends a tackling course.
World Rugby runs a Coaching Intervention Programme which players can apply to attend, reducing the suspension to two games.
