Munster's European Champions Cup game against Stade Francais in Paris on Sunday has been postponed following last Friday's attacks in the city.

The French club said they had taken the decision in order to not add to the workload of public and law enforcement services in the country's capital.

European Cup organisers postponed all pool matches scheduled to be held on French soil last weekend.

Those games included Ulster's away contest against Oyonnax.

The attacks in Paris left 129 dead with more than 350 people injured.

A Stade Francais statement said a new date for the game would be announced "shortly".

"In light of recent and tragic events, Stade Francais Paris does not wish to overburden or complicate the work of the government and security forces by organising a sporting event to bring together 15,000 people in Stade Jean-Bouin," added the Stade Francais statement.

Munster chief executive Garrett Fitzgerald said the Irish club "fully understood" the decision.

Stade were beaten 33-20 by Leicester in their opening European game last weekend while Munster defeated Treviso 32-7.
