Cardiff Blues interview process 'questionable' - Dale McIntosh
Departing Cardiff Blues coach Dale McIntosh has questioned the region's interview process for the role of head coach.
Former Wales international McIntosh was interviewed for the role before Blues appointed former Wales U20 coach Danny Wilson.
McIntosh claims Wilson was the only man in the frame for the job.
"They were after their man, they were after Danny. Danny acknowledged that himself," McIntosh said.
Cardiff Blues did not wish to comment when asked for a response by 91热爆 Wales Sport.
New Zealand-born McIntosh has stepped down as Blues forwards coach with immediate effect following Wilson's appointment.
Wilson left Bristol to join Blues on a three-year contract and was the region's top choice from a five man shortlist which included McIntosh.
"They obviously knew the man they wanted so they chased him down," McIntosh told 91热爆 Radio Wales Sport.
"Realistically the interview process was questionable, but now that it's done everything's done amicably.
"It's just the way it is. Obviously I find myself out of the circle, but that's rugby and that's professional sport."
