Six Nations 2015: Edwards hopes Jamie Roberts returns to Wales
Wales defence coach Shaun Edwards says Jamie Roberts will "hopefully" return to play in Wales ahead of the 2015 World Cup.
Racing Metro's Roberts is opening the prospect of a dual contract in Wales.
But Edwards wants the centre to work on his role in the Six Nations against France in Paris on Saturday.
"I just want Jamie concentrating about one thing this week and that's France," said Edwards.
"So that's the only reason I haven't spoken to him about it."
If Roberts was to return to Wales on a national dual contract, then his former region Cardiff Blues would have first refusal.
Roberts' Racing team-mate Dan Lydiate returned to Wales - with Ospreys - this season, and the duo are expected to be named in coach Warren Gatland's team to face the French at Stade de France.
Newport Gwent Dragons had first refusal over Lydiate's services after he had left them to join Racing, but the player negotiated a deal with the Ospreys after failing to agree terms with the region.
Edwards added: "We want all our players back in Wales, but I haven't spoken to Jamie about it."
There is a fortnight between Wales facing France and hosting Ireland in their penultimate tournament game.
Edwards says that gives 2013 British and Irish Lion Roberts time to ponder and possibly settle his future.
"He's got plenty of time, probably next week plus another dead week to think about that and sort that out," said Edwards.
"But he's going to be thinking about [Mathieu] Bastareaud. He's going to be thinking about his job leading our defence this week.
"I don't want him trying to think about anything else at the same time."
