Wasps have announced the signing of Gloucester scrum-half Dan Robson from the end of the 2014-15 season.

The 22-year-old England Saxons player has made 74 appearances for the Cherry and Whites since his debut in 2010.

Wasps director of rugby Dai Young told the "Dan is quick and has a really good kicking game."

Meanwhile, seven Wasps players have all agreed new contracts with the club, including internationals Ruaridh Jackson and Carlo Festuccia.

Winger Josh Bassett, centre Chris Bell, lock James Cannon and props Simon McIntyre and Phil Swainston have also extended their stays with the club.

Scotland fly-half Jackson has been sidelined since September with an anterior cruciate ligament tear, while Italy hooker Festuccia joined Wasps in 2013 and has made 36 appearances for the club so far.

Robson, who played for England against the Barbarians in June last year, will compete with Joe Simpson for the scrum-half berth at Wasps.

Young, who has just extended his own contract, added: "We are already strong in the scrum-half department but signing a player of Dan's potential and skill level will only help to raise the standard and competition for places even further and get the best out of the squad."
