Pro12: Benetton Treviso 20-16 Edinburgh

Edinburgh paid dearly for a poor second half display as Treviso overturned a half-time deficit to secure a Pro12 victory.

Leading 9-3 at the break, courtesy of the steady boot of Carl Bezuidenhout, Edinburgh faded badly at the Stadio Monigo.

The hosts overturned the deficit to lead 20-9 until almost the end of play in Italy.

Cornell du Preez's late try and a bonus point offered little consolation.

Tobias Botes' penalty were Treviso's only points in the first period. Treviso hooker Leonardo Ghiraldini and Sale-bound prop Alberto de Marchi both scored tries for the hosts.

Botes slotted both of Treviso's conversions and struck another penalty to cap an impressive display.

Du Preez scored a last-minute Bezuidenhout-converted try to claim a losing bonus point for Alan Solomons's side.
