Leicester Tigers sign forward Michael Noone
Leicester have signed former Leinster and Doncaster back-row forward Michael Noone on a deal until the end of the season, reports
Noone was with Doncaster last season and joins in a month when Tigers forwards Craig Newby and Ben Woods were both forced to retire through injury.
Director of rugby Richard Cockerill said: "He played for the second team and did very well.
"He is a very raw young player, who has a lot of ability and physicality."
Cockerill also hopes to clinch the signing of South African forward Wessel Jooste in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile captain Geordan Murphy could be out for a month with a knee injury sustained in Saturday's 9-9 draw with Saracens.
And winger Miles Benjamin has been ruled out for up to four months after injuring his neck.
Cockerill said: "Miles suffered a pretty nasty injury to his neck against Northampton in the A League two weeks ago which has resulted in a spinal injury. He will be potentially out for three to four months."
