Jersey narrowly win at Sedgley Park to go further clear

Jersey have moved after a nervy 13-11 win at Sedgley Park.

A Donovan Sanders touchdown looked like it would put the islanders in front at the break, but the Tigers hit back with a Simon Parrott try to lead 11-10.

Ross Broadfoot's penalty put Jersey back ahead with what turned out to be the only score of the second half.

The injury-hit islanders have now won 17 in a row and are on track for a fourth promotion in five years.

Director of rugby Ben Harvey told 91热爆 Radio Jersey: "For me it's the best win of the season given the amount of injuries we've got.

"I was happy to say we won very ugly and the four points meant everything to us today."

Sedgley Park take a losing bonus point from the game and are ninth in the table.

Jersey's title rivals Ealing lost, while fellow promotion-hopefuls Fylde needed a last-minute try to beat Tyndedale.
