Hull's Trueman signs three-year deal at Wakefield
Wakefield Trinity have signed half-back Jake Trueman from Super League side Hull FC after he was released from the rest of his contract.
The 25-year-old departs the Airlie Birds on a three-year deal with the Championship side.
Trueman reunites with his former Castleford coach Daryl Powell, with Trinity top of the Championship table.
Due to the deal being completed before the transfer deadline, Trueman will only be eligible to join Wakefield after the completion of the regular Super League season on 21 September, but could turn out for Trinity after that date during the Championship play-offs.
鈥淚t鈥檚 really exciting times at Wakefield, the club鈥檚 building and looking like it can be a real threat in the Super League for the next few years, so when I got the chance to join I couldn鈥檛 turn it down," he told Wakefield's website.
"I鈥檓 really looking forward to working with Powelly and the rest of the coaching staff, I鈥檓 confident they can get me playing my best rugby again."
Trueman has had an injury-hit time with Hull, making 26 appearances and scoring six tries since joining in 2023.
He was selected as part of Wayne Bennett's 2019 Gret Britain squad but did not make an appearance.
