Hull KR captain Minchella has two-game ban upheld
Hull KR captain Elliot Minchella will miss his side's Super League play-off semi-final after his two-match ban was upheld by the Rugby Football League.
The Robins had appealed against the charge of a Grade C head contact offence after he was sin-binned for a high tackle on Matt Moylan in the win over Leigh Leopards on 13 September.
The 28-year-old loose forward missed the win over Leeds Rhinos on Friday, but the grading of his offence was not reduced to a single-game ban.
So he will be suspended for the game at Sewell Group Craven Park on Friday, 4 October.
Hull KR finished second in the final league standings, so sit out this weekend's first round of play-off matches.
