Frank Dawson retains support of Antrim County Board
Antrim manager Frank Dawson is understood to retain the support of his County Board despite a disagreement with two of the Saffrons' top players.
Tomas McCann and Tony Scullion were not involved in Antrim's defeat by Monaghan which condemned them to Division Four.
The pair wanted to attend a memorial service for their late uncle on Sunday and meet up with the team but Dawson insisted they travel with the squad.
A hastily arranged review meeting was convened for Tuesday evening.
The meeting was to discuss, among other things, the team's poor National Football League performance and address the weekend fallout involving the manager and two of his high profile players.
Some sources have indicated that the Saffrons are on the verge of a player walkout while others insist that the set-up is just in need of some minor tweaking.
Tomas McCann's brother Michael is currently taking a break from playing.
The County Board have said that "the matter is being dealt with internally" and it is unclear if Dawson was invited to attend Tuesday's impromptu review meeting.
