Ladies Scottish Open: Becky Morgan finishes third as Isabelle Boineau wins
Welsh golfer Becky Morgan had to settle for a third-place finish after a final-round 73 as Frenchwoman Isabelle Boineau won the Ladies Scottish Open.
Morgan, 41, took a three-shot lead over Boineau and Swede Linda Wessberg into the final round after a 68 and 66.
But Boineau, ranked 286 in the world, carded a 67 to finish 11 under, a shot ahead of Wessberg (68) and two clear of Morgan and American Beth Allen.
England's Florentyna Parker (69) tied for sixth with Scot Vikki Lang 11th.
Lang's final-round 67 at Dundonald Links was the joint-second best round of the day, while four other Scots - Pamela Pretswell, Catriona Matthew, Kelsey Macdonald and Sally Watson - all finished on one under, 10 shots back.
Morgan was looking to win her first Ladies European Tour title 15 years after recording her first runner-up finish.
But a one-over-par 73 saw her finish two shots back on nine under, tied with Allen (67).
They finished a shot ahead of the fast-finishing Swede Caroline Hedwall (64), and two clear of Parker (69) and first-round leader Gwladys Nocera.
Boineau, 27, who is in her third year on the Ladies European Tour, said: "What a tournament to win. Today is one of the best days of my life.
"I was very nervous on the last. I was shaking but I didn't want people to see."
