Ballyclare golfer Gareth Maybin missed the cut at the Africa Open despite firing a second-round one-under-par 71.
Maybin posted five birdies and four bogeys in his round and lay in a tie for 79th place on one over.
Graeme McDowell missed the cut at the Northern Trust Open in California after a second-round 73 left him three over.
The Portrush golfer, who was playing in his first tournament of the year, had posted an opening 72 at the Riviera Country Club and missed the cut by one.
He will now head to Arizona for the World Golf Championships Accenture Match Play Championship, which begins on Wednesday.
