Gareth Maybin has missed the cut at the BMW International Open after firing a second straight level-par 72.

Standing on the 18th tee in Munich at one under, Maybin needed a closing birdie to survive but his hopes ended as he took a bogey six.

Peter Lawrie is the leading Irishman on seven under but Damien McGrane (73 for level) and Shane Lowry (72 for four over) missed the cut.

Henrik Stenson and George Coetzee are the leaders on 10 under.

Ballyclare player Maybin was one under at the turn after managing a solitary birdie on the seventh.

A dropped shot on 10 was followed immediately by a birdie but his closing bogey ended his hopes of making the weekend.
