Fernando Alonso has taken to Twitter to say he will be fit for Monza after being involved in a crash in last Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix.

Alonso suffered a pain in his left shoulder when Romain Grosjean's out-of-control Lotus hit his Ferrari, narrowly missing the Spaniard's head.

"Today I woke up with no pain and 200% ready for Monza," Alonso

Alonso, 31, heads the drivers' championship by 24 points going into Sunday's Italian Grand Prix.

Grosjean has been handed a one-race ban for causing the crash at Spa-Francorchamps, which took out Alonso and Lewis Hamilton.

The crash also cut short Sergio Perez's race, while Kamui Kobayashi was affected in the other Sauber, eventually finishing 13th.

"The stewards regard this incident as an extremely serious breach of the regulations, which had the potential to cause injury to others," read a statement from the FIA, the sport's governing body.
