Captain Seamus Coleman says it is "hard to walk away from something you love" as he considers the offer of a new contract from Everton.
Republic of Ireland international Coleman, 35, has made a club-record 363 Premier League appearances for the Toffees since joining from Sligo Rovers for 拢60,000 in 2009.
The full-back has been hampered by injuries this season and has played just 12 club games, including the full 90 minutes in Saturday's 1-0 win over Sheffield United.
鈥淭his football club means everything to me," he told "I suppose I live and breathe it like everyone else.
"It鈥檚 been a hell of a ride - the last two or three years - and it鈥檚 not a case that you just turn up for work, go home and forget about it.
鈥淎s I said before when I signed my last contract, it is hard to walk away from something you love.鈥
As well as Coleman, fellow full-back Ashley Young and midfielders Andre Gomes, Idrissa Gueye and Dele Alli are all out of contract this summer, while the loan deals of Jack Harrison and Arnaut Danjuma will come to an end.
Director of football Kevin Thelwell said last week players "will be sold" this summer and has asked fans for "patience and understanding" as the club work to improve their financial condition.
