Watford have completed the signings of Bournemouth striker Daniel Jebbison and Udinese defender Festy Ebosele on season-long loans.

Jebbison, 21, joined the Cherries from Sheffield United for £1.5m last month on a four-year contract and came on as a substitute in their Premier League matches against Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United.

Ebosele, 22, is a Republic of Ireland international and adds to head coach Tom Cleverley’s wing-back options at Vicarage Road.

He made 31 Serie A appearances last season for Udinese and has three senior caps for the Irish national team after making his debut against France in September 2023.

The Hornets have also released Nigerian winger Samuel Kalu from his contract by mutual consent after two and a half years at Vicarage Road.

The 27-year-old Nigerian, who spent last season on loan at Swiss club Lausanne, made 13 appearances for the club, the last of which came in January 2023.

Watford are next in action away to Jebbison's former club Sheffield United on Sunday having won all five league and cup games so far this season.
