Barnsley sign midfielder Craig on season-long loan

Barnsley FC have signed Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Matthew Craig on a season-long loan.

The 21-year-old joined Spurs' youth team in 2019 and spent the latter half of last season on loan to Doncaster Rovers.

He made 20 appearances for Rovers, including nine of their 10 successive League Two wins that saw them secure a play-off spot.

"It鈥檚 been really good so far. I鈥檝e looked around the ground, which is beautiful - a really good stadium," Craig told the .

"The people I have talked to already have been really welcoming. It鈥檚 been good."
