Chelsea open 'internal disciplinary procedure' over Fernandez video
Chelsea have released a statement in response to a video posted on social media by midfielder Enzo Fernandez that the French Football Federation says includes an alleged "racist and discriminatory" chant.
The 23-year-old's French team-mate Wesley Fofana posted an image of the video on Instagram and labelled it as "uninhibited racism".
Fernandez has posted an apology message on his social media channels.
A statement on the Blues' official website read: "Chelsea Football Club finds all forms of discriminatory behaviour completely unacceptable.
"We are proud to be a diverse, inclusive club where people from all cultures, communities and identities feel welcome.
"We acknowledge and appreciate our player's public apology and will use this as an opportunity to educate.
"The club has instigated an internal disciplinary procedure."
