Portsmouth head coach John Mousinho has revealed the club are still looking to "add a few" more signings before the transfer window closes, with business "far from done".

Last season's League One champions have so far made nine additions this summer including deals for Danish winger Elias Sorensen and ex-Newcastle player Matt Ritchie, 13 years after the Scotland international left the south coast side.

"There's plenty going on still," Mousinho told 91热爆 Radio Solent.

"We're far from done in the transfer window. It's quite a different landscape this time of the season and we are looking to add a few and looking to make sure by the back end of August, the squad is stronger than it is now."

In his first managerial job Mousinho, 38, guided Portsmouth to the Championship last season finishing with 97 points and ending the club's 12-year absence from the second tier.

Pompey's return to the Championship began with a fraught 3-3 draw against Leeds United on Saturday with their goals coming from new signing Sorensen and two by Callum Lang.

It looked like Lang's injury-time penalty was enough to give Mousinho's side all three points at Elland Road but USA international Brenden Aaronson then equalised in the 95th minute for the Whites.

"It had pretty much everything - including us snatching defeat from the jaws of victory," Mousinho said.

"It was a pretty fitting return to Championship football for Portsmouth after so many years and it was a really enjoyable day."

Pompey face fellow Championship side Millwall on Tuesday evening at Fratton Park in the first round of the Carabao Cup.
