Cian Ashford: Teenage Cardiff City forward agrees new contract

Cardiff City youngster Cian Ashford has signed a new contract until the summer of 2027.

The 19-year-old forward has made the first-team breakthrough this season, making three substitute appearances in the Carabao Cup and one in the FA Cup.

Ashford, who was born and raised in the Rhondda, joined Cardiff's academy at the age of six.

"It's a great feeling after all these years to sign a new deal," said the Wales Under-21s international.

"My family and I have followed the club our whole lives, and I've played for them my whole career so far, so it's a really proud moment for us."
