Leigh Dineen will not return to the Swansea City board of directors, a club board meeting has decided.
The Swans' vice-chairman, Dineen left the board in July after the American takeover of the Welsh club.
He appeared to have been reinstated in November, but was immediately removed again with the club blaming an "administrative error".
Dineen and chairman Huw Jenkins retained some of their shares following the takeover.
Club owners Jason Levien and Steve Kaplan met the Swansea City Supporters' Trust on Wednesday and both parties decided against restoring Dineen to the board.
The board meeting took place before Swansea's 3-1 defeat at West Brom, which left them 18th in the Premier League table and three points adrift of safety.
