Derek Adams: Plymouth Argyle boss retains automatic promotion belief
Plymouth Argyle manager Derek Adams believes his side can secure automatic promotion if they win their remaining League Two games.
Defeat by Dagenham & Redbridge left Argyle fifth, three points off third place with just two games left to play.
"(Two wins) would give you a fighting chance," Adams told 91热爆 Radio Devon.
"If you're able to get six points and get to 83 points I think you would be very disappointed that you didn't make that automatic position."
Realistically, the Pilgrims have to hope that two of Accrington Stanley, Oxford United and Bristol Rovers fail to win either of their final two fixtures.
"Nobody saw the result against Dagenham coming because we came off two very good away victories," said Adams.
"But we had 85% possession against Dagenham, we had numerous opportunities, we should have won the game, but that's the nature of sport and the nature of football. If you don't score your goals and you concede easy ones then it's going to give you a problem."
