Max Clayton: Bolton forward out for up to four months
Bolton Wanderers forward Max Clayton will miss up to four months after having surgery on a hamstring injury.
Clayton was carried off last Monday in their 1-1 draw with Brentford.
The 21-year-old joined the Trotters from Crewe last season for a compensation fee of 拢300,000, but spent six months on the sidelines after surgery on his right knee.
"It's a blow for Max and of course for the squad," manager Neil Lennon told
"He's a great lad and we'll be with him every step of the way throughout his recovery period."
Clayton returned to playing from his knee injury in September and had started five matches for the Championship's bottom side.
