Carlisle clear pitch of flood water so FA Youth Cup tie goes ahead
Carlisle United's FA Youth Cup game against Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday will go ahead after the club managed to clear their pitch of flood water.
The tie was in jeopardy after the River Petteril burst its banks, covering the playing surface.
In tandem with the Environment Agency, Carlisle were able to pump the flood water away and prepare the turf.
Brunton Park is susceptible to flooding as it is situated close to the Petteril and Eden rivers.
