Frank Lampard: New York City debut delayed by calf injury
Former England midfielder Frank Lampard's debut for New York City FC has been delayed by a calf strain.
The 37-year-old said he was "hugely disappointed" he would not be able to make his first Major League Soccer appearance against Toronto on Sunday.
The former Chelsea and Manchester City player could now make his debut against New England Revolution on 18 July.
Lampard joined New York from Chelsea in July 2014, but spent last season on loan at Premier League rivals City.
His former England team-mate Steven Gerrard will make his debut for Los Angeles Galaxy in a friendly against Mexican side Club America on Saturday.
