Manchester City Women sign American midfielder Corboz
Manchester City Women have signed USA Under-23 midfielder Daphne Corboz from Georgetown University.

"A lot of people have questioned me on my choice but football is what I love and it's what I want to do," she told the
"Holding off medical school was hard but the prospect of playing here lured me away from that for the time being."
She added: "Seeing all the facilities here during my first visit really blew me away and that's what convinced me to come here."
Corboz joins a growing number of American players in the WSL, including Liverpool pair Santara Murray and Libby Stout.
"I think more American players will start to come to England now and the league will definitely grow," Corboz said.
"The success England Women had in the World Cup can only be beneficial for the league here."
The New Jersey-born attacker was selected by Sky Blue FC as part of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) College Draft in January and recently played a role in her country's Four Nations triumph at Under-23 level.
"Being chosen to play for the US national team is probably a career highlight so far," she said.
Manchester City host Birmingham City on July 12 as the WSL season resumes following the international break during the World Cup.
