Hibernian recruit goalkeeper Mark Oxley on two-year deal
Goalkeeper Mark Oxley has signed a two-year contract with Hibernian, having spent last season on loan at Easter Road from Hull City.
The 24-year-old made 45 appearances for Hibs as they finished second in the Championship, only to miss out on promotion via the play-offs.
He kept 16 clean sheets and scored a league goal with a kick-out against Livingston last August.
"We've started something here and now we want to build on it," said Oxley.
"There were other options available, but I wanted to continue to be a part of what the manager is building here.
"This season our aim is to hit the ground running and experience a winning start and the fact that we've got that continuity in defence will help us to hopefully do that."
Oxley moved to Hull from Rotherham in 2008 but never played a first team game for the Tigers.
"He is a great age for a keeper and last season's experience will stand him in good stead for the upcoming challenge - he will continue to get better," manager Alan Stubbs told the
"This is another piece in the jigsaw falling into place and another reason to get excited about the new season."
