Port Vale have completed the signing of Yeovil Town attacking midfielder Sam Foley on a two-year contract.

Foley, 28, made over 100 appearances in three years at Huish Park and scored twice in 40 games as the Glovers were relegated from League One last season.

"I'm happy, excited and I can't wait to get going," Foley told 91热爆 Radio Stoke.

"I owe a lot of my development to Yeovil and they wanted me to stay so to move away is a bold thing to do but I'm certain it's the right decision."

After 15 goals in 82 games for non-league Newport County, Foley made his league debut for Yeovil in August 2012.

Apart from a nine-game loan spell with Shrewsbury Town at the end of last season, Foley has spent the majority of his career with Paul Sturrock's side, who will play in League Two in August after suffering a second successive relegation.

"It was a disappointing season to get relegated," said Foley, who picked up their player of the year award. "I had a good season but I'd take not getting relegated over that.

"I got into the game late and I still feel like I've got a lot left to give."
