Leyton Orient manager Fabio Liverani wants to remain at the club even if they are relegated from League One.

The O's need to beat Swindon on Sunday and hope three other results go their way in order to stay up.

Liverani, 39, was appointed boss in December and has two years remaining on his contract at the Matchroom Stadium.

"Next week I will speak to the president. It is possible it's League One and we're very happy. League Two is no problem for me," he told 91热爆 London.

The former Italy international added: "For me it is not very important [whether] League One or League Two.

"For me the project for the club and the players is very important. After Sunday we will sit down and plan for next season."

Liverani is in his second job as a manager, following a seven-match spell in charge of Italian side Genoa in 2013.

The former Lazio and Fiorentina midfielder was brought to east London by O's owner Francesco Becchetti and became Orient's fourth manager of the season.

"Genoa was very important for my development and growth as a manager.

"I was promoted through the youth ranks up to the first team. I arrived at Leyton Orient in December with a team which was already built by other people.

"There had been three managers, the team wasn't doing well and there were problems.

"This situation is everyone's responsibility; myself first but also the people that were before me and the players. It is a combination of things but we hope we will get out."

Even victory over Swindon at the County Ground may not be enough for Orient to extend their nine-season stay in the third tier.

The O's need Notts County, Crawley and Colchester all not to pick up maximum points in order to climb out of the bottom four.

"In football it is not impossible," Liverani said.

"For us it is important to win the game and then after to look at Notts County, Crawley and Colchester.

"We have to put in a big effort to win the game, stay focused for 90 minutes and then hope."
