Hearts accepts two-game Adam Eckersley ban for head-butt
Hearts have accepted a two-match suspension for left-back Adam Eckersley after he was accused of head-butting Hibernian's Scott Allan.
The 29-year-old was not disciplined by the match officials after the pair had a touchline tussle in the early stage of Sunday's Edinburgh derby.
But the Scottish FA's compliance officer Tony McGlennan offered the ban after reviewing television evidence.
Eckersley will now miss the games against Raith Rovers and Cowdenbeath.
Eckersley, who started his career with Manchester United, joined Hearts in the summer after leaving Danish club Aarhus.
He has made 27 appearances as Hearts won the Scottish Championship title.
However, ahead of Sunday's 2-0 defeat at Easter Road, head coach Robbie Neilson revealed that the former England Under-18 international would not be offered a new contract this summer.
