Sean Dillon says there will be no bad blood with Celtic in final
Dundee United captain Sean Dillon is confident there will be no bad blood in Sunday's League Cup final with Celtic.
Three players were sent off in the 1-1 Scottish Cup draw at Tannadice.
Celtic manager Ronny Deila and captain Scott Brown have also accused Aidan Connelly of diving, while Brown also claimed he was deliberately kicked by Nadir Ciftci.
"No, I don't think so," said Dillon. "It showed everybody was up for the game."
United have appealed against a red card shown to midfielder Paul Paton, while Celtic have challenged the sending off of defender Virgil van Dijk in the aftermath of Brown's tackle.
And the Scottish FA compliance officer has until Tuesday to decide whether to take further action against any other players.
Dillon said: "Sometimes you'll get a late tackle or things will boil over but I don't see it carrying over at all.
"I'm happy to still be in the [Scottish Cup]. It was a strange game, a bit wild at times.
"I thought we were going to hold out but unfortunately we couldn't.
"We let them in and they took advantage of that. Thankfully we stuck at it and we've got another chance."
He added: "I thought it was a free kick.
"I'm at the other end of the pitch. I'm happy that we got a penalty, he [Deila] might've watched it back but I haven't and there was no talk in the dressing room.
"You see people go down and not get a penalty. From speaking to Ryan Dow he's always reluctant to go down but there's times when he does get contact and doesn't get a penalty.
"We were delighted to get the opportunity to score and Nadir did."
United are bidding to win their first trophy under manager Jackie McNamara following defeat in last season's Scottish Cup final, while Celtic are aiming for a domestic treble.
"It's going to be tough, there's no surprise there really," continued Dillon.
"We know what we're up against but I think we showed yesterday that we're capable of making a go of it and we'll be looking to do the same for the next three games.
"There's no future in history."
