Cardiff City: Magnus Wolff Eikrem leaves the Bluebirds
Magnus Wolff Eikrem's contract with Cardiff City has been terminated with immediate effect by mutual agreement.
The 24-year-old Norwegian midfielder was signed in January from Dutch side Heerenveen by the Welsh club's former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Eikrem has not played under new boss Russell Slade.
A club statement said: "We would like to thank Magnus for his contribution and wish him the very best for his future."
Eikrem was Solskjaer's first signing as Cardiff boss but he was unable to help the Bluebirds avoid relegation from the Premier League, making eight league and cup appearances.
This season the Norway international has only featured five times for City.
His last appearance was as an 82nd minute substitute in the 1-1 draw against Fulham in August.
