Shrewsbury Town sign Andy Robinson and Jordan Clark
Shrewsbury Town have signed former Swansea City and Tranmere Rovers winger Andy Robinson, as well as Barnsley youngster Jordan Clark.
Robinson, 34, and midfielder Clark, 22, have both earned a one-year contract after impressing Town boss Micky Mellon during pre-season.
"I know Robbo very well and I'm excited to have him here," Mellon said.
"Jordan's a fantastic footballer, he's shown that in training and I think we have got a very exciting young player."
Clark began his career at Barnsley where he worked with Mellon while the 42-year-old was assistant manager.
After very brief loan spells with Scunthorpe and Chesterfield, Clark spent the final three months of last season at Conference Premier side Hyde, where he scored one goal in 16 appearances as the club were relegated.
Robinson played 195 league games for Swansea, scoring 44 goals before moving to Leeds in July 2008.
He had two loan spells with Tranmere before joining them on a permanent basis in June 2011 and was released at the end of last season.
The pair follow the signing of Cameron Gayle as Mellon rebuilds his squad for the forthcoming season.
