Roger Riera: Nottingham Forest sign ex-Barcelona defender

Nottingham Forest have signed defender Roger Riera on a two-year deal following his exit from La Liga side Barcelona this summer.

The 19-year-old Spanish centre-half has been at Barca's academy for nine years and was captain at all youth levels.

He led the under-19s side to the Uefa Youth Champions League title with victory against Benfica last season.

Forest have signed forwards Matt Fryatt and Lars Veldwijk as well as defender Louis Laing during the close season.
