Two goals in the first half by Patrick McEleney and two in the second from Rory Patterson helped Derry to an easy 5-0 league win over Bray Wanderers.

Derry went ahead on 11 minutes when McEleney let fly from about 30 yards to beat keeper Stephen McGuinness.

McEleney ran on to a Patterson pass to lift a classy finish over McGuinness for 2-0 20 minutes later.

Patterson then added two before Stephen Dooley marked his Brandywell debut by scoring Derry's fifth goal.

Patterson could not miss his first goal in the 61st minute after Mark Timlin fed McEleney who selflessly set up the finish from just a couple of yards out.

The former Northern Ireland striker netted again with a left-foot in the 70th minute to make it 4-0.

Former Coleraine midfielder Dooley completed the scoring near the end for the Candystripes who play Shakhtyor Soligorsk of Belarus in the second qualifying round of the Europa League on Thursday.
