Sam Winnall: Scunthorpe United offer improved terms to striker
Scunthorpe United chairman Peter Swann has confirmed they have offered striker Sam Winnall an improved contract.
The 23-year-old former Wolves man scored 23 goals last season and has one year left on his current deal.
League One rivals MK Dons revealed last month that they were interested in signing the striker.
"We promised Sam that we would put something on the table for him and we have done that now," Swann told 91热爆 Radio Humberside.
"It is a vast improvement on his current deal, so hopefully we can get an answer on that quite quickly.
"If he doesn't want to accept it then that is fair enough and we will have to sit down and see what the club can do, but there is minimal room for negotiation.
"It's important that the fans know that we do rate him and that we want him to stay here."
Winnall joined the Glanford Park side last summer after being released by Wolves.
