Atletico Madrid's bid for Keylor Navas rejected by Levante
Atletico Madrid have been told to improve their offer for Costa Rica keeper Keylor Navas by fellow Spanish side Levante.
Navas, 27, has been key to helping his country reach the World Cup last eight; saving Theofanis Gekas' spot-kick in the penalty shootout win over Greece.
"Six million euros plus forward Leo Baptistao is not 10m," said the club's president Quico Catalan.
"Keylor has a 10m euro (拢7.95m) release clause - he's worth more."
La Liga champions Atletico are searching for a long-term replacement for Thibaut Courtois, with the Belgium international set to return to Chelsea after a three-year loan spell at the Vicente Calderon.
However, Navas has given no indication as to where his future might lie.
"The most important thing for me right now is the World Cup," said Navas, whose side play Netherlands in the quarter-finals in Salvador on Saturday.
"I will evaluate other things later, I just want to enjoy the World Cup."
