Notts County have signed full-back Blair Adams after he reached a mutual agreement to terminate the final year of his Coventry City contract.

Adams, 22, who made 64 appearances in two seasons with the Sky Blues, has signed a two-year deal at Meadow Lane.

"There are no hard feelings. I loved it there and was sad to go," Adams told 91热爆 Radio Nottingham.

"I've just got to put it behind me and go again. I'm lucky that I've sorted something out quickly."

Adams added: "There are always new challenges to take on and I'm delighted to be here."

Coventry boss Steven Pressley said he had been reluctant to offload the player.

"This was a very difficult decision for me to make," he said.

"Blair is a fantastic kid. His attitude and approach towards the game are first class.

"But I feel that some tactical adjustments will limit his first-team opportunities. It is only fair we give him the chance to seek regular football elsewhere."

Adams, who initially moved to Coventry on loan from Sunderland, signed a two-and-half year deal when he made his switch permanent in January 2013.

Meanwhile, the Sky Blues have also reached an agreement with coach Ian Foster to leave the club by mutual consent after two years working with the club's Under-18s and the development squad.
