Seamus Coleman: Everton full-back pens new five-year deal
Everton full-back Seamus Coleman has signed a five-year extension to his contract at the club.
The new deal ties the 25-year-old to Goodison Park until 2019.
"It was a very happy decision," the Republic of Ireland international said. "I've been at Everton for five years and I love everything about the place."
The deal ends speculation over Coleman's future after he had been linked with a move to Manchester United.
Coleman enjoyed a fine campaign for the Merseyside club last season, scoring seven goals and being named in the PFA Team of the Year.
The Irishman follows in the footsteps of Everton manager Roberto Martinez, who agreed a five-year contract extension at Goodison Park earlier this month.
Tim Howard, Leighton Baines and Sylvain Distin have also agreed new deals at Everton this year.
