George Taft: Burton Albion sign defender as Hussey exits
Burton Albion have signed former Leicester City centre-half George Taft on a two-year deal and have agreed to part company with Chris Hussey.
Hussey, 25, only signed a one-year contract on Wednesday.
The deal was triggered by an appearance clause but the club and player have now decided to cancel it.
Taft, who is 6ft 5ins tall, was a Foxes youth graduate but never played in the first team and spent time on loan with York last season.
Brewers boss Gary Rowett said: "George brings a lot of height, something that we probably lacked a bit last season.
"We're confident he can give us something a bit different next season."
