Stevenage release nine as Jon Ashton and Chris Day pen deals
Stevenage goalkeeper Chris Day and defender Jon Ashton have both signed new contracts with the club.
Day, 38, and Ashton, 31, agreed one-year deals with the option of a further year but nine players are set to leave.
Steve Arnold, Matt Ball, Jordan Burrow, Anthony Furlonge, Michael Thalassitis, Oumare Tounkara, Francois Zoko, Dani Lopez and Craig Reid are all released.
Meanwhile, second-year scholars Rohdell Gordon and Fejiri Okenabirhie have been offered their first professional deals.
All other second-year scholars at the club have been released.
