Irish Premiership: Dungannon Swifts 2-0 Ards

Goals from Sean McCashin and Gary Liggett gave Dungannon a 2-0 win over bottom club Ards in a lacklustre encounter at Stangmore Park.

Jonathan McMillen headed wide for the visitors while Swifts pair Matt Hazley and Liggett also went close.

The game came to life on 74 minutes when Stefan Lavery set up McCashin to finish from close range.

Liggett sealed the points for Dungannon 10 minutes later with a header from Ryan Harpur's free-kick.

Hazley sent a free-kick just wide in the first half before Liggett's shot was saved by keeper Graeme McKibben.

Dungannon remain in eighth place while Ards are 10 points adrift at the basement.
